HOME AWAY HOME began in Brazil as an exhibition idea.
Back in Turkey, reviewing the images made it clear they needed a different form. After a research session in the art section of the Bilkent University Library, I decided to make a photobook. A round of portfolio reviews and book talks clarified the core design elements. I designed the covers and asked a friend to write a short riddle for the fold-out (gatefold) pages. Following final writing and edits—and a last round of art direction from a designer friend—three years of work culminated in my first photobook.
